Biljana Kosmogina is a multimedia artist and activist from Belgrade, she deals with the performance, literature, photography and journalism. Performance is carried out individually or in groups on feminist, queer and literary festivals in Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, as well as in Portland (USA) 2012 (Performance “P Campaign” on the TBA Festival).
She writes for literary magazines and web portals across the region, and won three literary prizes. She is represented in three anthologies of Serbian prose translated into Italian, German and Albanian, and within the group ARTEQ she has been present in the cultural and activist scene for the years. Her collection of stories F-book was published in 2008. Her work is based on the struggle for women’s and minority rights, the examination of gender and sexual identity, and relentless criticism of the political system and patriarchal relations in society.
