Foundation CURE is a feminist organization focused on empowerment of young women in B&H through education and raising awareness on women’s human rights and the role of women in a society. Status of young women is characterized by unequal status of women in B&H in general, while in addition young women are facing age discrimination. They are excluded from public life, among unemployed youth young women comprise majority despite their equal or even higher education level in compare to young men; they have limited access to informal education; they are exposed to violence against women and strong patriarchal patterns. In the B&H young women are less involved in civil society sector while in women’s movement young women are facing unequal treatment and deep generation gap/resistance. This is the main issue Foundation CURE is trying to address through its activities.
